INST 6950 - Thesis
Student initiates and completes an original research project. Students have the opportunity to integrate themes, content, and methods from their course of study. The thesis may engage theoretical issues, be an application thereof, and/or be a piece of original research or creative work.
Requisites:
Credit Hours: 1 - 10
Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 10.0 hours.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 1.0 thesis/dissertation
Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,CR,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I
Learning Outcomes:
- Generates oral and written analysis with discipline-appropriate discourse as well as exhibit competency related to the thesis topic.
- Be able to produce a hypothesis-based original research study and clearly understand the intrinsic nature of several variables applicable to chosen topic.
- Demonstrate methodological and analytic rigor related to thesis topic.
- Reflect serious academic research with clear and concise writing, with an in-depth discussion and analysis of the topic.
