Astronomical observations and methods used in GPS and photogrammetry to establish horizontal and vertical control for objects.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Students will be introduced to fundamentals of GIS.
  • Students will learn fundamentals of photogrammetry method.
  • Students will learn theories of errors in observations and how to apply them.
  • Students will understand how astronomical observations are made using satellites.
  • Students will understand how global position system works using one, two, and three satellites.
  • Students will understand issues related to control surveys and geodetic reductions.
