THAI 3110 - Advanced Thai I Culture based approach to increased language proficiency. Students continue to develop listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills as they study diverse history and customs of Thai speakers.
Requisites: THAI 2120 Credit Hours: 3 General Education Code: 2CP Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - The student will be able to apply vocabulary, idioms and sentence patterns that they have learned to produce their own texts, including a speech, a survey, a summary, a reflection and presentation.
- The student will be able to understand, recognize and differentiate various forms of written and spoken Thai and identify different formats of written texts.
- The student will develop a deeper understanding of Thailand’s history, culture, and contemporary social and economic problems.
