IHS 3600 - Interpretations of Health and Medicine Through Literature Perspectives and perceptions of illness, healing, caregiving, and medicine as exhibited in both classical and current literature are presented and analyzed.

Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - The student will be able to identify more than one perspective of health and medicine across time through the use of literature or other sources.
- The student will be able to compare and contrast multiple perspectives of health and medicine across both social and cultural settings.
- The student will be able to cite specific examples of literature or other sources that reflect knowledge or feelings of various diseases, illnesses or disabilities.
- The student will be able to compare and contrast the differences in the perspectives of patients and healthcare providers in various health and medical situations.
