EDCT 7022 - Issues and Trends in Instructional Technology

Examines the issues and trends in instructional technology and the changes within the field of instructional design. Future trends examined for their impact on the teaching and learning environments of K-12, higher education, industry and the military.

Requisites:
Credit Hours: 4
Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 4.0 lecture

Learning Outcomes:
  • Participants will be able to analyze government databases and reports for trends in education and technology use.
  • Participants will be able to analyze trends and issues in Instructional Technology.
  • Participants will be able to define the major terms in instructional technology.
  • Participants will be able to describe the contributions of learning theories related to Instructional Technology.
  • Participants will be able to take trend data and make predictions for budgeting technology use in educational settings..
