EDHE 7780 - Assessment and Evaluation in Higher Education and Student Affairs Provides students with an understanding of the principles and practices that are associated with assessment in higher education. Focuses on the reasons for the development of the current assessment movement and on approaches for improving academic programs and support services.

- Delineate appropriate steps or methodologies in higher education outcomes assessment and program evaluation.
- Identify and describe basic methods and tools used by assessment practitioners.
- Identify and describe principles of good practice for outcomes assessment and program evaluation in higher education.
- Identify and describe the theoretical perspectives that contribute to the scholarship of assessment.
