EDHE 7920 - Practicum in Higher Education Administration and Leadership A supervised experience in the administration and leadership of higher education that students utilize for one or more purposes: to broaden their career experience and skills; to improve a program or a practice within their current positions, other areas, and/or other institutions; or to design and conduct assessment projects for the improvement of administrative decision-making or the establishment of future theory-based studies.
Requisites: EDHE 7850 and 7860 Credit Hours: 1 - 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 4.0 hours. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 practicum Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,CR,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will apply theoretical concepts and empirical research results learned in other courses.
- Students will discuss and analyze the practicum experiences with the field supervisor.
- Students will gain significant professional experience under the supervision of a professional administrator.
- Students will identify and analyze strengths and weaknesses in offices and programs.
- Students will identify and analyze their personal strengths and weaknesses in order to improve their professional practice.
