GEOG 6260 - Seminar in Urban Geography This seminar is designed to examine how politics, economy, and nature interrelate to shape urban issues.
Requisites: Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 8.0 hours. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 seminar, 1.0 research Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Learn how urban environments represent social and material outcomes of specific political and biophysical struggles to appropriate nature for profitable ends.
- Make general connections between nature and urban political economy.
- Recognize and analyze struggles over urban environmental politics as examples of social and environmental (in)justice.
