AT 3921 - Practicum in Athletic Training III Under the direct supervision of a clinical instructor, students apply the knowledge and skills obtained in the classroom on an actual patient population. Emphasis is placed on clinical decision-making.
Requisites: AT 2922 or 280C Credit Hours: 2 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 4.0 practicum Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to demonstrate proficiency in recognizing indications, contraindications, and effects of over the counter drug administration.
- Students will be able to demonstrate proficiency in creating, implementing, and progressing a therapeutic exercise program.
- Students will be able to demonstrate proficiency in recognizing general medical conditions and making the appropriate referral.
