CE 4913 - Senior Design- Special Project An advanced applied engineering course integrating several major disciplines of civil engineering in a design project.
Requisites: Permission required Credit Hours: 3 OHIO BRICKS Bridge: Learning and Doing, Capstone: Capstone or Culminating Experience General Education Code (students who entered prior to Fall 2021-22): 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will become aware of impacts engineering projects have on the society.
- Students will have experience in functioning in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Students will have experience in making cost estimates for a project.
- Students will have hands-on experience in presenting an engineering design work in front of a panel.
- Students will learn how to integrate various civil engineering concepts to design a product that is not addressed in other senior design courses.
