OHS 4200 - Industrial Ventilation with Laboratory Designed to impart a working knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices of controlling worker exposure to hazardous concentrations of air contaminants and to present logical methods of design, evaluation, and maintenance of such systems.
Requisites: OHS 2000 or IH 2000 Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture, 3.0 laboratory Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Be able to accurately measure airflows and assess system operability.
- Know how to troubleshoot malfunctioning fumehoods and local exhaust systems.
- Understand uses, applications, and basic design of ventilation for contaminant control.
