ME 4960 - Experimental Methods in Design Investigation and evaluation of experimental methods that may be used to obtain design and performance data. Probability, statistics, and principles of design of experiments (DOE) with application to thermo-mechanical experiments.
Requisites: ME 4880 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Design and set-up an experiment to study thermal and/or mechanical variables.
- Use DOE principles to evaluate experimental results.
- Use probability and statistics to determine experimental uncertainty.
- Use statistical tools to evaluate experimental data.
