PAW 1114 - Jokgu This course introduces students to the sport of Jokgu. Jokgu originated in South Korea and is a combination of soccer and volleyball. Jokgu is played on a tennis or badminton court with a net that is low to the ground similar to the one used in tennis, using no hands in a 2 vs. 2, 3 vs. 3, or 4 vs. 4 setting. This course combines face to face physical activity instruction and online academic learning modules in healthful physical activity as it relates to Jokgu as well as the knowledge and skills necessary to play Jogku.
Credit Hours: 1 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 laboratory Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to demonstrate skills and tactics of Jokgu through active participation.
- Students will be able to identify and describe rules, history, safety, and etiquette in Jokgu.
- Students will be able to identify the components of skill and health-related physical fitness and the relationship to personal health and wellness in Jokgu.
