SOC 3680X - Immigration and Crime This course will provide students with the basic knowledge about how immigration and crime intersect. The students will first learn the fundamentals of immigration, to include the basic history of immigration in the United States, the push and pull factors that bring immigrants to the United States, and contemporary issues relating to modern-day immigrants. The course will then cover the ways in which immigrants come in contact with the criminal justice system in this country.
