BUSL 2600 - Business Regulation and Compliance In today’s business environment, few things have had a more significant impact on business operations than the regulation of business by governmental agencies. This course studies how businesses are regulated in the United States. The power and operation of governmental administrative agencies are explored, as well as how organizations structure compliance programs in order to ensure compliance with governmental regulation.
Requisites: BUSL 2000 (Non-COB students) or BUSL 2550 (COB students) Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to articulate how adminstrative agencies are created and structured.
- Students will be able to recognize and describe how administrative agencies exercise their power over businesses.
- Students will be able to define and apply the elements of an effective organizational ethics and compliance program.
- Students will be able to recommend advocacy approaches to governmental regulation of business.
- Students will be able to recognize and describe government regulation applicable to different areas of business operations.
