CE 6160 - Computer Aided Construction Management Introduction to computer aided construction management. Topics include optimization, decision support systems, genetic algorithms, artificial intelligence and expert systems, neural networks, fuzzy logic, resourse planning, and asset management.
Requisites: Permission required Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be be able to describe resource planning and asset management in reference to construction projects.
- Students will be able to explain about decision support systems related to construction projects.
- Students will be able to explain how neural networks and fuzzy logic can serve as construction management tools.
- Students will be able to explain how artificial intelligence (AI) and expert systems can be used in construction management.
- Students will be able to explain how genetic algorithms can be applied to construction management.
- Students will be able to use computer tools to optimize construction project management plans.
