EE 6863 - Advanced Electronic Navigation Systems

Continuation of EE 5853. Focuses on current and future avionics systems and aircraft electronics. Design and signal processing in navigation receivers.

Requisites: EE 5853
Credit Hours: 3

Learning Outcomes:
  • Students will be able to design and implement key algorithms of electronic navigation systems (such as GPS software radio, LIDAR-based navigation) in Matlab®.
  • Students will be able to solve engineering problems related to the design and analysis of electronic navigation systems.
  • Students will be able to explain the design principles involved with safety-critical (avionics) systems.
