GEOL 6944 - Teaching Methods in Geology

• Develop methods of helping students to find their weak points so as to move past those factors that limit their intellectual growth.
• Establish an effective style of communicating with students in laboratory sections of geology classes. Learn to go beyond simply waiting for them to ask questions.
• Learn what is appropriate and professional behavior both in and out of the classroom. Know the university policies on harassment.
• Work with the supervising faculty member and classmates to develop effective methods of classroom presentation in laboratory sections of geology courses.
