GK 5220 - Greek Drama Reading of one or two complete Attic plays, by Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides, Aristophanes and/or Menander. Emphasis on the cultural and social place of tragedy and comedy in the Athenian democracy. Secondary readings.
