EDTE 6980L - Lab in Social Studies Methods
This course focuses on applying the knowledge gained in EDSE 6980 to curriculum planning and includes a field experience allowing students to move from theory to practice by developing and teaching social studies lessons in the classroom setting.
Requisites: EDTE 6980 concurrent
Credit Hours: 1 - 3
Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 3.0 hours.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 6.0 laboratory
Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,CR,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I
Learning Outcomes:
- Candidate successfully completes a field experience in the classroom setting.
- Candidate successfully completes a field experience based Teacher Work Sample.
- Candidate successfully develops and teaches social studies lessons that apply knowledge and skills gained in EDTE 6980.
