AT 6560 - Healthcare of the Performing Artist Provides knowledge necessary for the effective delivery of healthcare services to performing artists, including injury care, injury risk assessment, and specialized topics pertinent to the arts environment. Incorporates content related to dance, music, theater, and entertainment.
Requisites: Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to identify risks for injury in performing arts venues and activities
- Students will be able to administer injury care that is specialized for performing artists
- Students will be able to assess current scientific literature about the clinical practice of performing arts medicine
- Students will be able to assimilate course content into a care plan for a specific performing arts injury
