CSD 6250 - Pediatric Feeding: Assessment and Intervention This course addresses the theoretical, clinical and multicultural aspects of the role of the speech-language pathologist with children with feeding and/or swallowing disorders.
Requisites: CSD 6020 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to identify the ethical and efficacy issues involved with feeding and swallowing disorders in the pediatric population.
- Students will be able to investigate adequate and developmentally appropriate nutrition for the pediatric population.
- Students will be able to discuss aspects of cultural diversity as it relates to dysphagia assessment, treatment and counseling for children with pediatric feeding disorders and their families.
- Students will be able to apply knowledge and skills in the assessment and treatment and management of feeding and swallowing disorders in the pediatric population.
