PHIL 3580 - Existentialism Existential thought from Kierkegaard to Camus stressing such themes as freedom, existence, despair, authenticity, alienation, death, and revolt against system.
Requisites: 9 Hours in PHIL Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will learn the theories of, and be able to critically evaluate, thinkers such as Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Camus, Sartre, Gabriel, and Heiddeger. Students will be able to compare, contrast, and critically evaluate these approaches.
