OCOM 8141 - Selective Surgery - General Surgery Students are required to select four weeks of surgical subspecialty rotation(s) to supplement/complement the basic required four-week General Surgery rotation. No more than 12 weeks may be spent in surgical rotations (excluding OCOM 8140). Surgical subspecialties may be completed in either 2 two-week rotations or 1 four-week rotation.

Course Outcomes
- During surgical subspecialty rotations, students are expected to develop their competencies in many basic skills.
- Learning objectives are provided in the syllabus to guide the student in his/her learning and to serve as a baseline for assessment of the student’s skills, knowledge and professional behavior.
