ENGT 2000 - Electrical Motors, Control Circuits, and Computers Industrial power rotating machines and computer control. Motor principles, classification, and application. Motor control circuits, single phase, 3-phase systems, relays, and overload protection. Testing and maintenance procedures. Field trips part of lab activity.
Requisites: ENGT 1200 or IMT 1200 Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 lecture, 4.0 laboratory Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will learn about motor starters.
- Students will learn the National Electrical Code as it applies to motors and controls.
- Students will learn the basics of all types of electric motors.
