CFS 6400 - Supervision in Child and Family Studies The purpose is to explore the basic process of supervision. General areas to be explored include relationships, power and authority, trust, and motivation. Students are encouraged to evaluate their own supervisory style and develop a personal philosophy of supervision.
Requisites: Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will evaluate one’s own supervisory style and develop a personal philosophy of supervision.
- Students will identify characteristics of effective leaders/supervisors.
- Students will identify techniques used to manage difficult employees.
- Students will review organizational and management techniques.
