CE 7320 - Plastic Design of Structures This course covers the theory of plastic design as applied to rigid-jointed frames, continuous or restrained beams, girders, and statically indeterminate structures that are stressed primarily in bending.
Requisites: Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to explain the theory of plastic design as it relates to steel structures.
- Students will be able to design steel structures by applying the theory of plastic design.
- Students will be able to analyze steel structures by applying the theory of plastic design.
