SOC 5400X - Population and Society This course is an introduction to social demography, the study of population dynamics and the implications of population change for society-at-large. Population dynamics are examined through analysis of social and cultural factors that influence the basic demographic processes of fertility, mortality, and migration. Emphasis is placed on using available sources of demographic data in a variety of population analysis applications.
