ART 4600 - Interior Architecture Holistic Solutions Studio This course applies both the art and science of design practice by emphasizing using design strategies to address user’s physiological, informational, and social needs. This includes investigations in how building form, materiality and human factors affect designed space composition. In creating supportive environmental designs, investigations include research, programming, analysis, theory, ideation and conceptualization, schematic design, project evaluation, refinement, materials, finishes, detailing, furnishings, lighting, communication graphics, and formal presentation.
Requisites: ART 2600 Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 4.0 studio, 2.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to demonstrate the use of materials, codes, and construction detailing of interior spaces.
