POLS 4145 - Policy Implementation and Evaluation


This course examines what factors affect the performance of public programs and organizations and surveys the processes of policy formulation and implementation within the context of politics. It analyzes governmental interventions in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, and responsiveness by investigating how to apply statistical methods to evaluations of governmental interventions. It also demonstrates how to operationalize various components of public programs in order to conduct statistical analysis.

Requisites: 3 hrs in Quant. Reason & Jr or Sr.
Credit Hours: 3
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
