- Describe and explain the basic histories and current challenges faced by states in Southeast Asia.
- Identify the causes and consequences of key moments of social, economic, and political change that have taken place in Southeast Asia.
- Use theories of comparative politics and international relations to analyze and explain political outcomes in Southeast Asia.
