PSY 1110L - Support for Elementary Statistical Reasoning PSY 1110L is designed to complement materials learned in PSY 1110 and support student success with student-centered, individualized attention in understanding basic statistical concepts and their applications. To meet the course objectives, students attend the lab classes, complete in class work and assignments based on course objectives. Co-requisite for students with a DV math placement and any student who wants additional support in PSY 1110.
Requisites: PSY 1110 Concurrent Credit Hours: 1 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 laboratory Grades: Eligible Grades: F,CR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to describe basic statistical procedures and explain information presented in statistical form, such as graphs and tables.
- Students will be able to convert relevant statistical information into various equations, graphs, and tables.
- Students will be able to calculate relevant statistical information using various statistical formulas.
- Students will be able to draw appropriate conclusions from the quantitative analysis of data and identify the limits of the analysis.
- Students will be able to make and evaluate important statistical assumptions in estimation, modeling, and data analysis.
- Students will be able to articulate quantitative evidence in support of an argument or purpose of the work.
