ENG 3920 - Literary Magazine Editorship Students edit and produce the campus literary magazine for public distribution. Course may be taken with permission of the magazine faculty advisor.
Requisites: Permission required Credit Hours: 1 OHIO BRICKS: Bridge: Learning and Doing Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 practicum Grades: Eligible Grades: F,CR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to adapt and apply literary reading and editing skills to select and edit manuscripts for the student literary journal.
- Students will be able to successfully solicit manuscripts and follow professional protocols in working with authors to improve and revise creative works for publication.
- Students will be able to effectively organize, lay out, and produce a literary magazine.
- Students will be able to integrate faculty supervisor feedback into their editing practice.
- Students will be able to constructively reflect on and improve their own writing, including professional communication, in light of their editing practice.
