POLS 3800X - Introduction to Data Analysis in Political Science Students are introduced to data analysis techniques used in political science. The course emphasizes examining real-world research and the quantitative methods used in such research. There is particular focus on how data is used to test causal hypotheses. Case studies from political science are used to introduce the key concepts and methods. Students are also introduced to data analysis software.
Requisites: 3 hrs POLS and (POLS 2800 or PSY 1110 or MATH 1060 or MATH 1200 or MATH 1500 or ET 2400 or Math placement level 2 or higher) and WARNING: Not SOC 2500 or COMS 3520 or MATH 2500 or QBA 2010 or ISE 3200 or ET 2450 or LET 3555 or GEOG 2710 or ECON 3810.
