DANC 3065 - Dance Team Performance and Leadership This course provides members of the Ohio University Dance Team an opportunity to participate in leadership development under the guidance of a faculty mentor. The course combines dance studio experiences with leadership and team-building activities to emphasize professional development, creative problem-solving, skill enhancement, and personal growth.
Requisites: Permission. Students must audition and be selected for the Ohio University Dance Team Credit Hours: 1 - 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 9.0 hours. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 studio Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to explain the functions of a team and how roles, tasks, and results interrelate.
- Students will be able to reflect on their own contributions to team activities.
- Students will be able to propose and execute a professional and personal growth plan in relation to dance skills and leadership qualities.
- Students will be able to demonstrate professionalism in attire, timeliness, consistent attendance, and performance accuracy.
- Students will be able to demonstrate improved skill in executing choreographed sequences.
