POLS 6010 - Seminar in Quantitative Research Methods This course provides students with a foundation for understanding the use of common quantitative research methods in political science.
Requisites: Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Conduct a variety of statistical tests using appropriate software, and interpret the results of an analysis.
- Explain the role of empirical research in discipline of political science and its importance in particular subfields.
- Select the appropriate quantitative techniques to analyze particular data.
- Summarize and evaluate political science research that uses quantitative methods of analysis.
