ME 6500 - Advanced Engineering Mathematics I

This course will focus on analytical solutions to linear Partial Differential Equations (PDEs), with an emphasis on applications of PDEs in Engineering problems. The goal is to impart to students the excitement and usefulness of mathematics as a tool in solving real-world problems. The approach will be to look at the mathematical modeling & solution of simplified Engineering problems. The course is intended to act as a foundation course for engineering graduate students coming from a range of backgrounds, but with previous exposure to multi-variable calculus and linear constant coefficient ordinary differential equations.
