SASM 6340 - Data Analysis and Communication for Interscholastic Athletics This course provides an overview of how to effectively collect, organize, analyze, and present data related to interscholastic athletics. This includes identifying secondary sources, methods of collecting primary data, and using statistical tools to present and evaluate the data.
Requisites: Admission to COB graduate or certificate program or permission Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to utilize data analysis to address an issue or problem in interscholastic athletics.
- Students will be able to explain basic statistical concepts and apply them to an analysis of data related to interscholastic athletics.
- Students will be able to design a valid and reliable survey instrument.
- Students will be able to communicate research results both visually and in writing.
