HIST 6800 - History Research Seminar

This class teaches advanced historical research methods for MA and PhD students.

Requisites:
Credit Hours: 4
Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 8.0 hours.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 4.0 seminar
Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I
Learning Outcomes:
  • Students will be able to communicate key ideas related to their research in both oral and written formats.
  • Students will be able to identify and evaluate primary and secondary sources for an original research project.
  • Students will be able to identify and evaluate important trends in the historiography related to their research.
  • Students will be able to properly cite both primary and secondary sources.
