OCOM 8141 - Selective Surgery - General Surgery

Students are required to select four weeks of surgical subspecialty rotation(s) to supplement/complement the basic required four-week General Surgery rotation. No more than 12 weeks may be spent in surgical rotations (excluding OCOM 8140). Surgical subspecialties may be completed in either 2 two-week rotations or 1 four-week rotation.

Course Outcomes

During surgical subspecialty rotations, students are expected to develop their competencies in many basic skills.
Learning objectives are provided in the syllabus to guide the student in his/her learning and to serve as a baseline for assessment of the student’s skills, knowledge and professional behavior.
