Special Opportunities
Global Studies in Plant Biology is one of only a few programs in the United States to integrate study abroad with opportunity for research by undergraduate natural science majors. Although the ecological and geographic theme will change from year to year, the program is designed to spotlight different regions and their plant life through a series of three interrelated courses: an introductory seminar, an intensive international field course, and a laboratory research course. Locales for the field courses have included Brazil, French Guiana, Hawaii, New Zealand, Sarawak, and Thailand.
