Mission

The department’s mission is education, research and professional service focusing on plants and their environmental interactions. The department’s courses and programs prepare students for careers in a wide range of disciplines, including plant biology, plant pathology, biotechnology, environmental biology, natural resources, conservation, field biology, agronomy, plant breeding, freshwater biology, and cell biology.

Internships

Global Studies
The PBIO Department runs a number of field courses outside of Ohio.
