Mission
In the School of Interdisciplinary Arts, students with diverse artistic backgrounds create their own path in the arts. They take courses in multiple schools within the College of Fine Arts (Art + Design, Dance, Film, Music, and Theater) to create a one-of-a-kind experience that transcends traditional disciplines.
Description
The School of Interdisciplinary Arts offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts. The degree program allows students to study across the schools of Art + Design, Dance, Film, Music, and Theater. Students in this program create their own unique degree path by selecting two areas of study (a primary area and a secondary area) within the College of Fine Arts. A program advisor within the School of Interdisciplinary Arts coordinates and approves curricular plans for each student who pursues the degree.
The School of Interdisciplinary Arts also offers an Interdisciplinary Arts Minor for students who would like to gain exposure to a wide variety of fine and performing arts.
Admission Requirements
Admission to the School of Interdisciplinary Arts is contingent on admission to Ohio University. Prior to starting the program, a student must discuss their intended primary and secondary areas with the program advisor.
