Telecommunications - Media Studies Major (B.S.C.)

This plan of study offers students the opportunity to design an individualized program that meets their needs and reflects their interests in the media industries. A student can design an individualized program of study in consultation with the sequence director and a faculty advisor. The student submits for approval a proposal for coursework that includes justification and corollary courses.
Alternatively, students can select one of three areas of study:
International Media
Media & Society
Politics & Media
All Media Studies students must complete the MDIA core, the Media Studies core, and five courses from their area of study.

32 hours outside the School of Media Arts and Studies that support program goals (from no more than two areas with at least 20 hours at the 300-to-400 level. International Communication

Individualized Area of Concentration
This specialized program requires a proposal approved by the faculty advisor, sequence director, and undergraduate director, and a minimum accumulative GPA of 3.0. In addition to the core Media Studies courses, 28 hours of TCOM courses are required. |
