Minor code OR3101
Many students in math-related fields, such as engineering and the sciences, choose to complete a minor in mathematics. Many of the majors in which these students are enrolled require substantial training in mathematics and continuing that training makes sense for a variety of reasons. A minor in mathematics demonstrates that you have acquired skills that can be useful in a wide range of endeavors. These skills are often valued by employers. Another good reason for choosing a minor in mathematics is the intellectual stimulation; mathematics provides one of the most rigorous settings possible for study.
