Jewish Studies Certificate Program

The Jewish Studies Certificate program at Ohio University provides undergraduate students with an opportunity to deepen their knowledge about Jewish history, culture, and literature. The program brings together a number of disciplines in the College of Arts and Sciences (history, classics and world religions, political science, English, etc.).

To apply for the certificate, ask for an “Application for Update of Program” form from your college student services office, fill it out, including the program code CTJWST, and bring the form to the certificate coordinator.

Certificate Requirements


Students must receive a grade of “C” or better in each of the courses counted toward the certificate. Complete 24 hours, including CLWR 301, either HIST 328A or 328B, and one approved course from three of the four departments listed below:
