SOC 403 - Development of Sociological Thought Credit Hours: 4
or
SOC 404 - Modern Sociological Theory Credit Hours: 4

Choose one of the following:

COMS 301 - Empirical Research Applications in Communication Credit Hours: 4
MATH 251 - Introduction to Probability and Statistics II Credit Hours: 4
PSY 221 - Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences Credit Hours: 5
QBA 201 - Introduction to Business Statistics Credit Hours: 4

44 hours of Sociology

Complete at least 44 hours in sociology courses with at least 16 at the 400 level or above, and at least one from each of the following categories:

Social Inequality. At least one of the following:

SOC 230 - Sociology of Poverty Credit Hours: 4
SOC 329 - Race and Ethnic Relations in the United States Credit Hours: 4
SOC 331 - Class and Social Inequality Credit Hours: 4
SOC 429 - Sociology of Race, Ethnicity, and Class Credit Hours: 4
SOC 435 - Sociology of the Welfare State Credit Hours: 4
SOC 470 - Sociology of Gender Credit Hours: 4

Societal Institutions. At least one of the following:
