Program Overview

The art history minor is offered for nonmajors who wish to pursue study in art history.
 

Admissions Information

Freshman/First-Year Admission

To declare an art history minor, consult your major advisor and with a School of Art advisor. Approval from the School of Art director is required.  Minimum requirement of 2.75 overall GPA required for admission. You must maintain a 3.0 GPA in the minor.

Change of Program Policy

No selective or limited admission requirements.

External Transfer Admission

No requirements beyond University admission requirements.
 

Opportunities Upon Graduation

The art history minor is designed for students majoring in other fields who want to expand their knowledge of the history, criticism, and theory of art.

Minor Hours Requirement


The art history minor requires a minimum of 24 hours. You must maintain a 3.0 GPA in the minor.
