Program Overview

This minor program affords students flexibility in designing a curriculum that combines the traditions of physical and human geography with analytical and technical skills.

Geography prepares students for a variety of career paths, including environmental management, planning, and analysis; private and public firms and agencies that employ geographic information systems; education; local, state or federal governments and agencies; city and regional planning; community development; non-profit organizations; foreign service; international non-governmental organizations; and cultural and historic preservation.

The geography minor requires a minimum of 20 hours.
