Chemistry Materials Fee

All chemistry laboratory courses have a consumable materials fee.  In addition, students must purchase a $20 breakage card from the Office of the Bursar, the unused portion of which will be refunded.

Program Requirements

A minor program in chemistry requires a 2.0 overall GPA, a minimum GPA of 2.0 in chemistry coursework taken for the minor, and completion of at least 29 quarter hours of chemistry coursework, including:

• CHEM 151 - Fundamentals of Chemistry I Credit Hours: 5
• CHEM 152 - Fundamentals of Chemistry II Credit Hours: 5
• CHEM 153 - Fundamentals of Chemistry III Credit Hours: 5

• - Complete CHEM 301-302-303 or 305-306-307

• CHEM 301 - Organic Chemistry Credit Hours: 3
• CHEM 302 - Organic Chemistry Credit Hours: 3
• CHEM 303 - Organic Chemistry Laboratory Credit Hours: 2

• or

• CHEM 305 - Organic Chemistry Credit Hours: 3
• CHEM 306 - Organic Chemistry Credit Hours: 3
• CHEM 307 - Organic Chemistry Credit Hours: 3
